As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with employees, visitors, and customers, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and activities during each shift.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required by site protocols.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, adapting to changing conditions within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must have Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
