St. Ann's Community is are currently looking for a part time Operations Manager to join the team at our Portland Campus. The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Director in managing certain operations at Chapel Oaks independent living facility.

St. Ann's Community Offers:



  • Part time - 20hrs/wk.
  • Pay range - $22.85 - $29.15/hr.

Job Description:

Administrative Duties
* Works closely with all department heads to ensure delivery of the highest quality of services to all residents
* Promotes and maintains good working relations and communication with all staff and residents of Chapel Oaks
* Investigate and report on any safety concerns involving residents
* Acts as Manager on Duty as scheduled
* Works along with the Director to resolve resident and family concerns
* Interacts constantly with residents to promote their comfort and satisfaction with the services and programming provided by Chapel Oaks.
* Develops personal knowledge of each resident in order to promote their involvement in the community of Chapel Oaks and to understand their needs.

Front Desk Duties
* Ensure proper staff coverage for all shifts.
* Conducts periodic training to ensure all staff are up to date on new procedures.
* Makes staff management decisions such as hiring, discipline and terminating for all direct reports. Performs on-going and annual performance appraisals to assure optimum staff performance; works to promote the individual growth and development of staff.

Activities Department Duties
* Assist with leading activities as needed including exercise classes.
* Collaborate with the Resident Services Manager in planning the monthly calendar.
* Attends the Resident Council and periodic focus groups
* Participates in "away" events as official escort as needed.
* Test pool chemicals and have a working knowledge of chemicals and their use.

Entertainment packages
* Work closely with new move ins to ensure their satisfaction with the entertainment package
* Handle service calls for internet, TV and phone issues

Transportation Duties
* Drive residents to outings and appointments in the absence of a driver.

Safety Duties
* Supports all staff in following fire and other emergency policies and procedures
* Carries pager while on duty to assist in any emergency
* Carries 2-way radio during emergencies to assist in communication
* Responds to resident emergencies. Follows-up with hospital if resident is transferred from the facility

Candidate Requirements:



  • 5 years of managerial experience Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR certification Required
  • Valid Driver's License
