HIM Record Coordinator
Overview Presbyterian is hiring an HIM Record Coordinator. In this role, you manage and coordinate the accurate processing, storage, and release of sensitive patient health records in accordance with Federal, State, and hospital guidelines. You specialize in birth registration operations, acting as a primary liaison between new mothers, medical staff, and external agencies to ensure timely and correct documentation. With a strong command of health information systems, you respond to public and professional inquiries, facilitate secure information exchange, and maintain detailed records that support clinical decision-making and compliance audits. Your role combines regulatory knowledge, technical expertise, and empathetic communication to uphold the integrity of patient data while fostering positive experiences for patients and providers alike. 6 months to 1 year of experience working in a healthcare setting is required, preferably in an acute care hospital environment or HIM.
