Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Critical Infrastructure Network Engineering Manager you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Your responsibilities will be to oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure for the organization. You will also be responsible for managing a team of network engineers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills, tools, and resources to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively. You will also be involved in planning and implementing network security policies and procedures, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any network issues that may arise. ResponsibilitiesPeople Management and SupportPromote open information exchange, resolve intra- and inter-team issues, manage conflicts, remove barriers for agile priority shifts, and engage all stakeholders to meet mutual objectives and represent the organization effectivelyNetwork Design and ImplementationPerform technical analysis and lead the design architecture of network plans for the enterprise, analyzing network & security requirements of the business and architects' solutions that include highly available and resilient designs.Own and drive technical roadmap and strategy, through effective collaboration with architects, engineers, and senior leaders.Maintaining and Operating NetworksMonitor network system state in compliance with current capacity plan guidelines, and network services budgets, including reviewing invoices from service providers for usage, errors, and inconsistencies, and adjusting where feasible.Maintain standards and best practices for network toolset environments with a focus on Fault Management and Capacity/Performance Monitoring tools.Project ManagementLead and manage network engineering projects from inception to completion using Agile methodologies and DevOps-based tools, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.Oversee sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and manage timelines and budgets, ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the team.OtherEmbody our culture and values.
