We're an award-winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience in administering and supporting Atlassian Data Center products and other COTS tools within a federal environment in anticipation of an upcoming award.

This role involves configuring and maintaining tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket; automating workflows using scripting languages such as Groovy or Python; and supporting system compliance with Section 508 and FISMA requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience, working knowledge of PostgreSQL, and a background in Agile methodologies.

Applicants must possess an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at the time of application. U.S. citizenship is required.

While primarily a telecommuting role, the hired individual must be available for occasional on-site meetings in Clarksburg, WV.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Administration and management of COTS applications.
  • Conduct Section 508 compliance testing for new features and modifications with COTS application and plugin upgrades.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including FISMA-related documentation for obtaining and maintaining ATO.
  • Provide user support and reference guides for troubleshooting and application usage.
  • Possess intermediary-level expertise in PostgreSQL for querying and updating application databases.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and provide operational support for COTS tools.
  • Configure and administer Atlassian Data Center products (e.g., Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
  • Customize Jira workflows, permissions, and custom fields, and implement plugins across the Atlassian suite.
  • Automate and extend Jira and Confluence functionalities using scripting languages like Groovy, Python, or equivalent.
  • Design and implement enterprise standards for Atlassian instances, ensuring consistency across project structures, issue types, workflows, and integrations.
  • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.
  • Provide team-specific training as needed.


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:



  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Atlassian Data Center products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Groovy, Python, or its equivalent
  • Agile certification


EDUCATION:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desired; four years of relevant experience is acceptable in place of a degree

Internal title/grade: System Engineer, E3
Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.

Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
