The Director of Strategic Planning leads the development and execution of strategic and business planning activities; works closely with the Executive Team in strategic planning process, creation of business plans, support of market research, and tracking and reporting competitive intelligence; plays a significant role in the implementation of the organization vision and key strategic priorities.
Responsibilities include:
- Participates in leadership activities for the Strategy and Planning division, contributing to the achievement of goals and objectives and serves as a champion of enterprise wide culture, influencing culture change to support functional objectives.
- Contributes to the corporation's financial forecasting, aligning business-unit plans with corporate goals and objectives. Develops business analytics, assessments and intelligence that support the overall strategic capabilities of the organization.
- Effectively articulates and presents strategic priorities and implementation plans to a variety of audiences, including top executives and the board of directors.
- Manages team members and supports the organizational development of the team members, directing them to appropriate training and education in keeping with their functions. Evaluates performance of team members, providing continuous feedback. Manages discipline and performance issues; hires and fires team members. Identifies resource needs and develops recommendations for meeting needs.
- Organizes and educates the strategic support team to report data in comprehensive and informative way incorporating quantitative and qualitative information such as market share, forecasting, and competitive intelligence.
- Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer on all capital planning/budgeting issues that will impact current and future strategies for CHCO.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, operational leadership and finance staff in business plan development for the various service lines and clinical programs.
- Works in collaboration with Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer to direct and facilitate the strategic process. Identifies and assigns resources to facilitate the strategic and business plan development process for prioritized areas.
- Manages communications to the enterprise on projects and hot topics related to strategic and business planning activities. Maintains effective working relationships with peers in division, peers in other divisions, and senior leadership.
- Leads the implementation, tracking and progress reporting of select planning activities.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in Communication, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field
EXPERIENCE : Seven years of experience developing and implementing strategic and/or business plans.
EQUIVALENCY : Professional relevant experience, in addition to the required experience, may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $154,766.75 to $257,944.60
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
