About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team onsite in Phoenix. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing mortgage loan applications to ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: * Review and underwrite conventional mortgage loan files * Analyze credit reports, income documentation, and property appraisals * Ensure loans meet investor and regulatory guidelines * Communicate underwriting decisions and conditions clearly to loan officers and processors * Maintain compliance with internal policies and industry regulations Qualifications: * 2+ years of mortgage underwriting experience preferred * Strong knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA guidelines * Proficiency in mortgage loan origination systems (LOS) * Excellent analytical and communication skills * High attention to detail and ability to work independently Why Join Us? * Competitive starting salary of $65,000+ * Standard business hours - no nights or weekends * Collaborative and supportive team environment * Opportunity for growth within a stable and reputable company *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $35.00/hr.
