SUMMARY: This position provides administrative support for the Small Business Lending department and acts in part as a loan origination system (LOS) administrator. Incumbent assists with processing of small business loan applications, prepares and coordinates loan closing documents within strict regulatory guidelines, and is responsible for performing routine and complex duties related to SBA loan processing. Outstanding customer service skills are required to successfully interact with clients, vendors, and colleagues. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the loan application and closing process, including post-closing and servicing tasks, working closely with the Business Lending Officer and Lender Service Provider (LSP) team.
- Performs loan processing functions, including second review of all vendor tasks, creating loan documents, funding loans, assisting in the creation of relationship numbers, capturing CRA data, etc.
- Performs routine and complex duties related to SBA loan applications, including onboarding, funding, and servicing of approved SBA loans.
- Performs administrative functions, including monitoring of the Small Business Lending Portal queue, assigning and completing various workflow tasks, maintaining and developing procedures, and serving as a cross-department point-of-contact for Small Business Lending inquiries and LOS support issues. Provides outstanding customer service via regular interactions with clients and prospects by phone, email, and in-person as required.
- Completes ongoing validation of the client experience via routine testing of LOS functionality.
- Assists with regular reporting and creation of internal presentations.
- Serves as a liaison between and among lenders, applicants, internal departments, and other parties as necessary. Responds to inquiries within scope of authority and resolves issues as appropriate.
- Follows strict regulatory guidelines while remaining up to date on SBA and Bank loan policy, procedure, and compliance issues by completing ongoing training programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with SBA regulations and lending preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Minimum three years of administrative experience.
- Exposure in lending and banking operations, emphasizing commercial lending.
- Prior retail banking experience (platform) a plus.
- Prior experience using LaserPro/Argo/XPerience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work within strict deadlines.
- Must have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers.
