Role Summary:

The Director of Community Impact is a visionary leader responsible for elevating our credit union's presence and reputation in the communities we serve. This role champions financial wellness, cultivates strategic corporate partnerships aligned with our mission, and leads a robust employee volunteer program. The ideal candidate is passionate about community development, brand advocacy, and creating meaningful, measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Brand Elevation



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community impact strategy that aligns with the credit union's mission and values.
  • Serve as the face of the credit union in community initiatives, events, and partnerships. Work collaboratively with the VP of Marketing, as well as the Financial Education and Business Development departments, to complement their existing outreach and partnership programs.
  • In conjunction with the VP of Financial Education, promote financial wellness through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs tailored to diverse community needs.
  • Collaborate with external public relations firm and marketing to amplify community stories and initiatives across digital and traditional platforms.


Strategic Partnerships



  • Identify, build, and maintain partnerships with nonprofits, schools, local businesses, and civic organizations.
  • Leverage partnerships to expand the reach of financial education and community support programs.
  • Negotiate and manage corporate sponsorships, grants, and co-branded initiatives that align with our mission.


Employee Volunteer Program



  • Design and lead a dynamic employee volunteer program that fosters a culture of service and engagement.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities, track participation, and recognize employee contributions.
  • Align volunteer efforts with community needs and organizational goals.


Measurement & Reporting



  • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of community programs and partnerships.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership and the board.
  • Monitor trends and best practices in community impact and financial wellness.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in community relations, corporate social responsibility, or nonprofit leadership.
  • Proven success in building partnerships and leading community-based programs.
  • Strong public speaking, interpersonal, and storytelling skills.
  • Passion for financial empowerment and community development.
  • Experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.


Compensation information: Offers are based on experience and education.

$92,872.00 - $116,084.80 annually
