Position Summary

Candid currently has an opportunity for a Senior Director of Data Provider Product Management. This person leads strategy, execution, and team development for the Data Provider business, encompassing both data products (datasets, APIs) and strategic data initiatives. This role combines people leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership of key programs to drive product impact, usage, and revenue.

Position: Senior Director of Data Provider Product Management

Reporting to: Chief Data Officer

Supervises: Senior Data Partnerships Product Manager; Datasets Product Manager

Schedule: 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $160,000-$200,000 (this range is for the NYC area and will be adjusted for other localities; additionally, factors like skills and experience will be considered).

Location: Remote. In-person attendance is expected during our annual, weeklong all-staff summit. Additionally, participation for in-person meetings is expected at least once per year for most employees, at least once per quarter for senior leaders, and at least once per month for the executive team. Staff that are not in NYC are expected to travel for these meetings.

Responsibilities



  • Manage the Data Provider Product Management team (DPPM), providing direction and mentorship to individuals as well as facilitating their alignment with stakeholders
  • Frame, empower, and ultimately take accountability for the DPPM team's execution against their objectives, including revenue and usage
  • Support your team to advocate for the voice of the customer. Lead and collaborate with cross-divisional technical and business teams to achieve optimal customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the CDO to establish data provider data strategy as well as key metrics to track and optimize
  • Collaborate with Growth, Influence, and release management to develop communications and change management strategy around data platform changes
  • Own large/systemic programs to further the data provider strategy, especially those with a high degree of complexity or those in the reconnaissance or incubation stages (experiments and/or pilots). Here ownership means structuring, establishing experiments and/or phased roadmap, aligning with internal partners and stakeholders, and executing (potentially delegating aspects of the program to relevant team members). Accountable for driving program results.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise and strategic thinking as a member of the Senior Data Leadership Team


Requirements



  • 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling data-driven products, preferably in B2B or Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) contexts.
  • Experience leading and mentoring product teams; able to guide junior PMs while setting strategic direction.
  • Skilled at translating customer and stakeholder feedback into actionable product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Strong technical fluency; able to work effectively with engineering teams and write detailed, technically-informed requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of presenting to executive audiences and adapting to diverse stakeholders.
  • Data-informed decision maker who balances customer insight, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Highly adaptable and thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Willingness to perform other duties and special projects as needed/requested.
