Essential Job Responsibilities:

The Data & Analytics Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support enterprise analytics, AI initiatives, and business intelligence. This role is pivotal in enabling our strategic goals, including M&A integration, by ensuring data is accessible, governed, and aligned with business priorities. The role also plays a key part in fostering global collaboration and standardization across our international operations.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Architect and evolve enterprise-wide data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming systems.
  • Translate business needs into technical data solutions, collaborating with IT, business units, and M&A teams.
  • Design and implement data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Lead the data strategy for M&A initiatives, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition harmonization of data assets.
  • Establish, document, and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards in collaboration with compliance and legal teams.
  • Support AI/ML initiatives by ensuring data readiness and architectural scalability.
  • Provide architectural oversight for data migration, MDM, and analytics modernization projects.
  • Mentor data engineers and analysts, and contribute to the development of a federated data operating model.
  • Collaborate across countries and cultures to develop shared practices, standards, and communities of excellence that reflect Carrix's global footprint.
  • Develop, monitor, and facilitate improvements of KPI's and metrics related to data architecture and data quality.
  • Facilitate data dictionaries and user understanding of data assets.
  • Partner with Corporate Development and IT leadership to assess data architecture implications during M&A due diligence.
  • Design and implement repeatable data integration frameworks aligned with the Carrix IT Integration Playbook.
  • Evaluate and harmonize data assets across acquired entities to ensure consistency, compliance, and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with RSM and other partners on integration strategy, resource modeling, and execution planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master's Business Administration (MBA) highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise analytics.
  • ITIL certification required (or within 90 days of employment).
  • Strong experience managing employees to include employee lifecycle from hiring to terminations.
  • Experience with managing compensation, contract negotiation, vendor management, customer management and KPI reporting.
  • Demonstrated player-coach approach to leadership, and willingness to roll up your sleeves to help.
  • Strong experience with ITIL Service Delivery methodologies including problem and incident management is required.
  • Ability to bring people together to solve problems and to simplify complexity for the team into manageable tasks.
  • Track record of building and motivating great teams.
  • Experience using OKRs and other goal-setting methodologies.
  • Experience supporting professional services teams and customer software preferred.
  • Experience supporting M&A activities from a data and systems integration perspective preferred.
  • Experience working in international or multi-regional organizations preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as CSDM, TOGAF, or DAMA-DMBOK preferred.
  • Background in logistics, transportation, or enterprise asset management is a plus.
  • Deep expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality tools.
  • Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Experience with data security and privacy practices.
  • Experience with MDM, modeling, and data management tools.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving data and data integrity issues.
  • Communicating data and technical concepts with both technical, and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with agile teams, DevOps, and development life cycle practices.


Work Environment:

  • Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment, or remotely from home.
