Summary An internal auditor's role is to evaluate and improve a company's operations and risk management processes. They do this by conducting audits, analyzing data, identifying potential risks, and providing recommendations for improvement.

The internal auditor conducts ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 270001 audits for all certified areas, or areas seeking certification, as compliant to the elements of the ISO management system standards Description

This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours 8:00am-5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business needs to work occasional overtime. This position will work out of the 12377 Merit Dr. Dallas, TX location.

What You'll Do:

  • Performs ISO 9001 Quality Management System process audits for all functional areas, as required by direct management, the ISO standard and senior management.

  • Collects data by function and organization for measuring and monitoring audit activity and audit results, and collects data as needed for management review meetings.

  • Supports audit system. Reports on audit results including reviewing, organizing, analyzing and consolidating objective evidence and audit findings by function and organization to follow up on audit findings and corrective actions. May assist with external ISO reregistration and surveillance audits.

Required Education: Bachelor's

Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience

Specialized Training:ISO 9001 quality management system standard auditor training.

Required Work Experience:

  • 1 year-auditing in accordance with ISO 9001.

  • 3 years-working with quality management or with quality management systems implementation. Experience may be concurrent.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Must be organized and be able to multi-task. Must be capable of performing process audits. Must have excellent communication and written skills and be able to work well under pressure.

Required Software and Tools: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Proficiency in audit planning, execution and reporting

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach

  • ISO 9001, 20000-1, 27001 or related experience

Preferred Skills and Abilities: Process measurement and management, facilitation, and team skills all a plus.

Preferred Software and Other Tools : Working knowledge of Visio and Compliance 360 software.

Preferred Licenses and Certificates : American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor or equivalent.
