Interface is looking for a Corporate Accounting Senior Accountant who enjoys being part of a team that seeks to continuously process improve in order to work smarter and not harder to get the work done.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to be a part of a team that continues to design a better way of partnering with our business leaders and delivering daily value to each of our customers. The Interface corporate accounting team is responsible for consolidations, audits and corporate accounting work for our global business. Be the trusted Corporate Accounting Senior Accountant!

Essential Functions

  • Gain a thorough understanding of our financial reporting process, general ledger structure, and organizational/team objectives

  • Analyze current assigned processes to identify, communicate and implement process improvements

  • Participate in the recurring period financial close process, including:

    • preparation of journal entries for areas of assigned responsibility in accordance with company policy

    • preparation of reports and analyses that support internal and external financial statement(s) distribution

  • Comply with and thoroughly understand identified Corporate Accounting SOX controls that impact your areas of responsibility (as defined)

  • Support the corporate audit process and external filing process (as needed)

  • Become the subject matter expert on assigned account reconciliations

  • Respond to inquiries from management and business partners regarding financial results and special reporting requests

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks

  • Perform other tasks as required

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelors Degree with a focus in Accounting required

  • 5+ years of experience with either public accounting or similar corporate accounting

  • Experience with multi-currency organization (preferred)

  • Knowledge of US GAAP required.

  • Ability to work independently but also understand when to obtain approval on activities

  • Ability to get your message across effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Love for and experience with solving problems and helping the business to run at its best

  • JDE experience (preferred)
