Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
  • Estimated annual base pay: $119,000 (minimum) - $149,500 (midpoint) - $179,400 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an experienced Test Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Staff level Test Engineer reports to Technical Leadership and their focus is performing design and support of moderate to high complexity test systems and equipment, mentoring to other Engineers and supporting process improvements. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision. Independent technical decisions on work are covered by precedents; this position seeks direction/guidance on novel or controversial problems. In addition, this position may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals or organizations. What you will be doing...
  • Designs, supports, improves and tests moderate to high complexity test systems and equipment. Ensures designs meet testability and reliability criteria. Independently troubleshoots/analyzes component/system problems.
  • Participates in creation and evaluation of new product test requirements, test strategies, test procedures and the associated reports.
  • Provides estimates for new test equipment.
  • Perform lead design engineer role on complex test systems, including small group leadership and system specification ownership. Will mentor Jr Engineers and Technicians.

  • Train other members of the test team and development technicians on theory and design of existing test equipment.
  • Defines, develops, tests and supports moderate to high complexity software applications including LabVIEW and other similar platforms. Provides guidance to users on program functioning. Evaluates request for application enhancements.
  • Conducts and oversees unit testing, debugging, software/hardware integration.
What we are looking for...
  • US - bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) or international equivalent in Technical/Science. Masters preferred for a Staff level.
  • At least 8 years professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required
  • Advanced/expert engineering knowledge; complete understanding of component function and testing requirements. Understands manufacturing processes, drawings and standards. Fully understands a system and its components.
  • Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills and analytical calculation skills required.
  • Advanced written/verbal communication skills and presentation skills; solid technical writing skills (procedures, reports, etc.).
  • Competent knowledge of accuracy analyses, instrumentation calibration theory and tolerance stack-ups.
