At Accela, our Project Managers are strategic leaders who drive the success of complex, high-impact software implementations. As a Project Manager, you'll own the cross-functional Professional Services delivery process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. Your work will directly influence both customer outcomes and Accela's continued growth.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead Project Delivery: Manage end-to-end project execution using proven project management principles. Drive planning, budgeting, resource alignment, and execution across cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to the Statement of Work.
  • Ensure Project Health: Monitor project progress and performance, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and maintain clear visibility into project status with effective tracking and reporting.
  • Manage Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships through transparent communication. Act as the first line of escalation and support the Regional Director in executive engagements.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate efforts across internal teams-including Consultants, Architects, PMO, Cloud Ops, Product, Support, and Partners-to ensure aligned execution and shared success.
  • Support Business Growth: Contribute to business development efforts by supporting project expansions, participating in proposal development, and assisting with budget estimation.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience Managing Large-Scale Projects: At least 3 years of experience leading complex projects with budgets of $1M+, durations of 12 months or more, and coordination across multiple government departments or stakeholder groups.
  • Project Management Expertise: PMP certification preferred. Demonstrated skill in applying the right methodologies, tools, and strategies to effectively plan, track, and drive project success.
  • Multi-Project Leadership: Proven ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously, each at varying stages of the delivery lifecycle.
  • Technical Agility: Quick to understand, adopt, and apply new technologies and delivery approaches.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in using formal project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and others.
  • Analytical Strength: Strong problem-solving skills and experience addressing both technical and project management challenges.
  • Organizational Excellence: Highly organized with the ability to balance and prioritize competing demands across clients and internal teams.
  • Executive and Technical Communication: Comfortable communicating with both C-level executives and technical team members, adapting communication style as needed.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Government Software Implementation: Minimum of 5 years successfully leading implementations of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or platform-based enterprise software solutions for Tier-1 government clients.
  • Project Management Credentials: PMP certification preferred. Strong ability to select and apply effective project planning, tracking, and productivity tools and strategies.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Enterprise Software Delivery: Hands-on experience with the deployment of large-scale, enterprise-class software systems.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with state or local government permitting and licensing processes is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND WELL-BEING
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is [$110,000-$120,000] (less applicable taxes). The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an annual base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus target. This is a discretionary bonus awarded based on company and individual goal achievement.
