Site Supervisor (Project Manager) Location:Newport News, VA Job ID: #71215 Pay Range: $60-71/hr Seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee an HVAC renovation project within the Newport News Public Schools system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and general contracting, with a minimum of five years of experience.If you're looking for an opportunity to leverage your expertise in HVAC project management in an educational setting, we encourage you to apply! e. This temporary role is well-suited for a retiree with industry expertise. Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison between subcontractors and the school district. Coordinate subcontractors, managework schedules. Open access to the site for subcontractors and oversee their work schedules. Hold weekly meetings with subcontractors to discuss upcoming tasks and scheduling. Serve as a primaryon-site representative. Understand and interpretconstruction drawings and specifications. Provide support within Microsoft Office. Communicate Effectively and Professionally in both written (email) and verbal (phone). Collaborate with school district representatives & subcontractors. Qualifications: HS Diploma/GED Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems and general contracting. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication skills via email and phone. No travel required; this role is exclusively based at Mary Passage Middle School.
