Location Site: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301 Your role with us As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Salem Health, you play a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands-on care during some of the most vulnerable moments in a patient's life. You'll assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate closely with nurses and providers to ensure safe, personalized care. Your empathy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help create a healing environment and build meaningful connections with patients and families. Our 46-bed Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), located on the fifth floor of Building B, is seeking passionate and skilled healthcare professionals to join our team. As an integral extension of the Emergency Department, the CDU provides short-term observation care-up to 48 hours-for patients requiring further evaluation before discharge or admission. This unique setting allows our team to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working with a wide range of diagnoses, including: electrolyte imbalances, anemia, chest pain, transient ischemic attacks and infections. Working in the CDU offers a rich learning environment where nurses and providers expand their clinical expertise daily. You'll gain hands-on experience with diverse cases, sharpen your critical thinking skills, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to high-quality, compassionate care.
