Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst (Financial Services - Collateralized Loans)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite, Downtown)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Experience Level: Mid to Senior

Pay Range: 45-75/hour depending on level of experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in financial services, ideally with experience in collateralized loan products. This role will support key software implementation and enhancement projects involving third-party vendor solutions. The ideal candidate excels at gathering and documenting business requirements, managing product backlogs, and driving alignment between business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements
• Partner with vendors to ensure alignment on system functionality, integration points, and deliverables
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear user stories and acceptance criteria are defined
• Support the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through user acceptance testing and implementation
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and walkthroughs to validate requirements and ensure stakeholder alignment
• Identify and document process improvements and assist in developing future-state workflows
• Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external partners

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong experience in financial services
• Experience with collateralized loans or structured finance is highly preferred
• Proven success working on software implementation projects, particularly involving third-party vendor solutions
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, backlog management, and agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work onsite in Downtown Pittsburgh 3 days per week

Preferred Tools/Skills:

• Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools
• Familiarity with loan servicing systems or related financial platforms
