Job Description

ROLE-
A Jr. Product Manager is the vital sales link between the Strategic Partners we represent and the commercial aviation market we support.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -



  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with our Strategic Partners.
  • Manage inventory levels in conjunction with the Materials Department.
  • Review and approve purchase orders.
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts by working cooperatively with Regional VP's, Sales Directors, Field Sales, Outside Sales Reps, Customer Support and other team members to develop and manage existing customer base.
  • Create strong customer relationships where needed and actively participate in new account development.
  • Identify and solicit new opportunities to increase sales, part by part. Either directly, through a Regional VP, Field Sales or Customer Support Representative.
  • Monthly communication/reporting sales information both internally and to our Strategic Partner where applicable.
  • Track and report any Strategic Partner credit arrangements as applicable.
  • Regularly perform pricing and competitive analysis by part number.
  • Recommend and implement pricing strategies to improve market position and or gross profit.
  • Produce, maintain and update internal annual forecast.
  • Report forecasting information to our Strategic Partners where applicable.
  • Prepare and present business reviews with Strategic Partners where applicable.
  • Continually update the sales and marketing database with any and all relevant information.
  • Proactively and continually work to creatively sell off slow moving inventory.
  • Assist in the launch of any new product line or part numbers where applicable.
  • Travel to Strategic Partners and customers where applicable.
  • Promptly close any assigned actions.
  • Product training for new employees where applicable.
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct New and Lost Business Opportunity Sessions with management.
  • Excellent ability to develop and maintain great internal relationships in support of a positive work environment.
  • Strategically price long term contracts and fixed price agreements.

  • Promptly field questions from Customer Support and Field Sales.
  • Creatively seek ways to improve and maintain processes.
  • Creatively problem solves any customer and or Strategic Partner issues that may arise.
  • Work with Quality Control and or customers to resolve any circumstances that may require your involvement to obtain closure.
  • Assist in Return Material Authorization resolution where applicable.
  • Assist and support pricing any long term agreements/contracts.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED -



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency (willingness to get it done).
  • Must be highly organized, responsive and motivated.
  • Must have strong follow-up and task tracking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of gross profit, mark-up, Slow moving inventory calculations, etc
  • Must be able to make well thought out decisions that are in the best interest of the business
  • Must be self-motivated and resilient in order to adapt and conform to the position requirements
