As the Senior Manager, Content Marketing, you will support our company and brand goals by building our content marketing function from the ground up. This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for leading the planning, development, and execution of content strategies and initiatives that drive business outcomes from brand awareness to dealer engagement to customer education. This role will be critical in positioning our company and brand as a thought leader, fueling demand generation and supporting customer lifecycle marketing. You will help to shape our brand voice and deliver impactful content across a variety of digital channels, including our website, social media, and other external communications. We are on a journey to transform the Credit Acceptance brand and marketing function and are building a team that brings together your expertise with a mission-driven orientation to create something truly special.

Outcomes and Activities:

  • Build the content marketing function from the ground up, including establishing foundational processes, content operations, and resourcing models
  • Balance quick-turn, high-impact deliverables with long-term strategic planning to meet immediate needs while laying the groundwork for future growth
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with business goals and target audiences (car dealers and sub-prime consumers)
  • Define content pillars and identify high-leverage themes across multiple target audiences and/or markets
  • Create and manage a content calendar that supports product launches, campaigns, and other key initiatives
  • Oversee and manage a content ecosystem that spans formats (blogs, white papers, case studies, videos, social posts, emails, etc.), channels, and audiences, ensuring that every asset supports our brand story, drives engagement, and contributes to business growth
  • Ensure all content is high-quality, on-brand, consistent in tone and voice, and compliant with applicable financial services regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and channel owners to ensure content is strategically aligned, compliant, and effectively distributed across web, email, social, and other key channels
  • Track, analyze, and report on content performance metrics around SEO and demand generation and optimize based on insights
  • Establish team structure and resourcing models to scale content operations as needed

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Builder mentality with a bias for action and the ability to thrive in an evolving environment with limited precedent
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills across multiple formats and channels with the ability to translate complex topics into clear and engaging content
  • Deep understanding of content marketing strategies, digital distribution channels, SEO best practices, and customer journey mapping
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and manage resources
  • Collaborative and influential communicator, able to build trust and alignment with cross-functional partners, including product, sales, analytics, legal and other teams within marketing
  • Knowledge of best practices for amplifying content via digital channels, including organic social media, other owned channels, and paid placements
  • Analytical mindset with a track record of developing KPIs and reporting on metrics to a senior level audience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience in key knowledge areas)
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in content marketing or similar role; at least 3 years in a leadership or senior role
  • Proven track record of building and scaling content programs in multiple formats that drive measurable business results
  • Proficiency with content tools (e.g. content management systems, analytics tools, SEO tools)
  • Experience managing teams, freelancers, and/or agencies
  • Track record of successfully navigating complex organizations and aligning content strategies with cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience in regulated industries

Targeted Compensation: $148,500 - $173,000 base salary + an annual bonus plan.

This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
