The Loan Document Retention Specialist I is responsible for performing various functions after loan booking for all loan types. These include but are not limited to performing final document reviews; scanning, categorizing, and indexing loan and insurance documents; sorting mail; and filing loan documents.

As a Loan Document Retention Specialist, you will:


  • Ensure all physical mail is opened, sorted, checked in and prepared for scanning.
  • Scan loan documentation and use OCR software to categorize documents in preparation for transfer to the loan document retention system.
  • Scan and index insurance documentation.
  • File and pull physical loan documentation as needed.
  • Compare loan documents to accompanying checklist to ensure all critical physical documents have been received. Create exception ticklers for missing documents.
  • Perform final review to ensure all required documents are imaged properly on the document retention system.
  • Perform reconciliations on loan data and on financial accounts the department uses.


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year relevant experience
  • Prior banking experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and strong work ethic
