Location(s): Thousand Oaks, CA

The ideal candidate is an early-career supply chain professional with 1-3 years of experience who is eager to build a long-term career in planning or procurement within a biotech environment. They have hands-on exposure to ERP systems, a foundational understanding of MRP or supply planning processes, and thrive in a hybrid work setting based out of ATO. We strongly prefer local candidates for this role. Please avoid submitting highly senior consultants, career contractors, or individuals without relevant supply chain experience.

Description:


  • Development Supply Chain (DSC) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products, process knowledge and technology solutions to enable accelerated product commercialization. DSC serves as a launch site to enable speed to market for innovative products and biosimilars.
  • The Production Planning & Sourcing organization manages all aspects of manufacturing and supply planning, scheduling, and materials/sourcing management activities for DSC in all phases of pre-clinical, clinical and commercial development.
  • We currently have an opportunity in the DSC Production Planning & Sourcing group for a Senior Associate, Supply Chain.


Day to Day Responsibilities:


  • Review raw material requirements, usage, and inventory to determine build and procurement requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and client procedures.
  • Maintain current purchase orders and master data in SAP using current procurement information and in collaboration with Corporate Master Data group.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize order management (e.g. order consolidation, order frequency, min order quantities etc.)
  • Apply standard Supply Chain and MRP planning principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Review and rationalize BOM requirements for new and existing products.
  • Support initiatives to improve business processes, reporting, and metrics.
  • Under minimal supervision, perform work successfully completing operational objectives and improving existing systems and processes within scope of responsibility.
  • Responsible for the coordination of logistics activities, regular interface with internal and external clients, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and communicate regular updates to key stakeholders including senior management.
  • Support the Supply Chain business process by identifying opportunities and providing key potential solutions that will provide automation, advanced analytics, and insights to support strategic decision making.
  • Requires being on call and having the ability to respond to business needs as necessary.
