Position Summary:


  • We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and technically adept Lab Manager and Support Contractor to ensure the seamless operation of our Customer Technology Center (CTC) and its associated labs. The ideal candidate will be a master of multitasking, responsible for technical support, facilities management, inventory control, and providing exceptional hospitality for all visitors. This role is central to maintaining a world-class environment for both our internal engineering teams and external customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Lab Operations:


  • Monitor all lab network circuits, promptly identifying outages and opening support tickets with service providers to ensure swift resolution.
  • Install, cable, and configure new customer and internal equipment within the labs as required.
  • Provide daily hands-on support to CTC Engineers, assisting with the installation, cabling, and coordination of customer-specific projects and proof-of-concept setups.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of all lab assets using our internal systems (e.g., Netbox, Velocity).
  • Facilities & Visitor Experience:
  • Ensure both labs, along with conference rooms and engineering offices, are maintained, clean, and prepared for Executive Briefing Center (EBC) events and customer visits at a moment's notice.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for all EBC and customer visits, providing a full range of hospitality services including visitor greetings, hosting, meal coordination, facility tours, and post-visit cleanup.
  • Coordinate with facilities personnel by opening work-order tickets to address maintenance and operational needs for all lab and office spaces.
  • Maintain the CTC kitchen area, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and organized.
  • Coordination & Logistics:
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments for the CTC, serving as the sole point of responsibility for all FedEx transactions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all third-party contractors, coordinating new expansions, structured cabling projects, power upgrades, and other facility updates.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience in a technical support, lab assistant, or IT coordination role.
  • Hands-on experience with installing and cabling network and server equipment.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and professional environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems proactively.
  • Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., Netbox) is a plus.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and moving IT equipment up to [e.g., 30-40 lbs].
