Provide leadership and execution of a functional area at the plant level that ensures profitable results and customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities: * Be customer focused and understand market drivers. * Drive process improvements to achieve operational excellence. * Mentor and develop team members within organization. * Understand, support and execute the achievement of performance measures on scorecards. * Provide input for resources, planning and budgeting leadership to the organization. * Proactively communicates across the organization business issues and opportunities. * Create and sustain a productive and positive working environment by developing people and maximizing flexibility. * Provides feedback to employees on job performance. * Motivates team to succeed. * Actively works to create the environment to be an employer of choice. * Share best practices. * Leverage available resources across the organization to manage cost structure. * Able to balance customer and company needs. * Support our quality system which ensures all business processes operate effectively. * Execute our business plan to provide direction for the Operation and to ensure long term profitability. * Responsible for capacity planning and execution of production schedules. * High level owner of 5S implementation and adherence. * High level owner of daily shop floor debriefs. * Support and ownership of Safety Program, safe work practices and countermeasure actions in assigned area. * Provide performance feedback and strategy for development of personnel. * Represent the business unit's interests with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other Kimball business units. * Support our Environmental Management System (EMS). | |
