Job Description

Third Shift: Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm-6:00am. (Train on 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm.)

TITLE: NDT Operator REPORTS TO: NDT Supervisor

Job Description:

Responsible for running X-ray and ultrasonic wall inspection on all routed patterns, maintaining logs, and notifying supervision of issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows the customer work instructions to run X-ray and wall inspections with the proper settings and equipment
  • Understand risks and proper procedures associated with working around radiation
  • Will accurately record X-ray inspection results in the appropriate log and location
  • Will meet the designated rates for production and accurately fill production time sheets
  • Will accurately monitor results of inspections to maintain product flow and identify issues
  • Will notify supervision of issues with product failure
  • Follow all safety and 6-S guidelines for the area

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Must be detail and safety oriented
  • Must possess or be trained in basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to move up to 35 pounds
  • An understanding of the English language is necessary
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervision as necessary
