Summary:

Nisga'a TEK is looking for a Technical Instructor and Writer to provided onsite support at Eglin AFB. Instructor shall successfully account for, document and perform all academic efforts as they pertain to Academic training/re-training and individual evaluation while sustaining the perishable skill sets of students in an inactive training status. Instructor shall delivery formal instruction in both technically and tactically challenging environments.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform independently in association with assigned and inherent duties, applying a variety of instructional techniques including lecture, seminar, conference, written and oral tests, hands-on evaluation(s) group discussion and multimedia instruction, utilizing other required performance measures serving as a principal source of technical information for which course development actions are based.
  • Responsible for pre-instructional, instructional and re-training actions including the overall maintenance and improvement of assigned course areas with flexibility in meeting trend analysis.
  • Participate in content revisions, and assist in data collection, maintenance, recordkeeping and request low levels of expendable supply items as required.
  • Utilize EOD Army lessons learned, mission task analysis, resident and exportable lesson plans, make recommendations for training content revisions.
  • Research current literature, doctrinal publications, and audio-visual materials regarding EOD procedures ensuring knowledge and skills-based training approaches are accurate and current.
  • Evaluate student achievement rendering diagnose of student learning challenges particularly low and/or high abilities.
  • Maintain all individual and training data utilizing approved Government programs i.e. Microsoft (MS) Office, Excel, Access, Word or PowerPoint promoting uniformity, operational readiness, personnel support, supply maintenance and academic performance.
  • Independent inspections are to be expected and open participation in quality control is 100% mandatory.
  • Vigilant in utilizing good supply discipline, perform preventative maintenance as required on all training equipment to include but not limited to vehicles, various materials handling equipment, test instruments and simulation areas and report any problems within one (1) hour.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office computer programs
  • Shall be able to perform duties requiring moderate lifting; the work requires lifting of items up to 50 lbs., such as tools and inert ordnance items. The work may require, common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as average agility and dexterity, long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and inclement weather conditions on occasion.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Instructor must be a graduate from one (1) of the following: Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) School, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Army Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFDIC), Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or Journeymen Instructor Training (JIT), Installation Support Cadre Training Course, (ISCTC).
  • Instructor must possess a minimum of three (3) years of operationally specific experience as an EOD Technician (MOS 89D/E) and a minimum three (3) years of related instruction.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
