Penn Power Group is expanding and seeking a driven, customer-focused Transit Sales Manager to lead new business development and account management efforts with public transit agencies, fleet operators, and OEM partners. If you have a strong background in transit sales, powertrain solutions, and long-term contract management, this is a great opportunity to join a well-established, growing organization.

As the Transit Sales Manager you'll be responsible for growing our transit business by identifying and developing opportunities for preventative maintenance contracts, powertrain sales, component rebuilds, and aftermarket services. This role requires a strong understanding of transit agency operations, public sector procurement, and fleet management.

Requirements

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue with transit agencies, municipalities, and OEMs.
  • Build long-term relationships with transit authorities, fleet managers, maintenance directors, and procurement teams.
  • Identify opportunities for:
  • Preventative Maintenance Agreements (PMAs)
  • Powertrain component sales (engines, transmissions, drive systems)
  • Aftermarket service parts and component rebuilds
  • Manage complex sales cycles, including government RFPs and public bidding processes.
  • Conduct technical sales presentations highlighting operational benefits, reliability, and lifecycle cost savings.
  • Collaborate with service, engineering, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and contract fulfillment.
  • Stay current on transit industry trends, emissions regulations, and funding programs (e.g., FTA grants, Low-No Emissions funding).
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand business opportunities.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in transit, transportation, or fleet maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of public transit fleet operations and procurement processes.
  • Proven success selling complex service agreements and technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with transit industry funding sources and government contract structures.
  • Technical background in fleet equipment, powertrain systems, or alternative propulsion technologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of diesel, hybrid, or electric propulsion systems.
  • Experience with telematics, fleet maintenance software, or diagnostic technologies.
