Johnson County Mental Health Center Financial Services Department is looking to fill the position of Customer Service Specialist. The Financial Services Department is responsible for tracking and reporting all revenue and expenditures for Johnson County Mental Health Center. This position will assist clients of Johnson County Mental Health Center in a variety of ways including, but not limited to, assistance with understanding their account balance, setting ability fees, processing requests for temporary fee reductions, and outreaching to clients regarding changes in financial status and/or missing financial documentation. First review of applications will be July 1. Job Description Additional Job Duties:
Communicates with customers and third-party payers to obtain or relay information and to obtain pre-certification and authorization for amount of services billable; clarifies and updates customer billing records with information such as deductibles, copayments, and adjusted balances; resolves a variety of routine and non-routine billing problems and disputes.
Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of customer service or related experience are required. May require KS/MO driver's license, depending on department or agency. Healthcare experience preferred. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. Education/Experience Substitutions: Experience may be substituted for degree. Education may be substituted for experience. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation. |
