University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (UH CMC) is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Supervisor of Clinical Pharmacy Services to join our progressive pharmacy leadership team.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and advancement of clinical pharmacy services at our 1000+ bed quaternary care, Level I trauma center. Working closely with the Manager of Clinical Operations, the Supervisor will help lead initiatives that enhance patient care and support pharmacy practice innovation.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Supporting the development and expansion of clinical pharmacy services
  • Precepting pharmacy residents and students
  • Participating in multidisciplinary committees and strategic initiatives
  • Contributing to policy development, drug shortage mitigation, and EHR optimization
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes


We're looking for a motivated, team-oriented pharmacist with a strong background in direct patient care or clinical leadership. Prior leadership experience is a plus-but not required for the right candidate with vision and drive.

What You Will Do



  • Responsible for coordination of the activities of professional and technical pharmacy employees engaged in operational or clinical activities.
  • This position may require Responsible Person/TDDD license responsibility for a designated pharmacy.
  • Provides direct supervision to professional and/or technical pharmacy employees, including performance evaluations.
  • Assists in regulatory compliance by developing policies for operations in accordance with laws and regulations. Monitors compliance with policies and continuous quality improvement of pharmacy services.
  • Creates and implements the orientation and training of new and existing professional and technical staff for their specific job descriptions.
  • Participates in the development of new pharmacy services and initiatives.
  • Collaborates with other departments on key initiatives and patient care.
  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility through proactive budget awareness, efficient inventory management including shortage mitigation, and implementation of cost-effective practices.
  • May fulfill pharmacist duties as required.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
