Job Description:

The Microchip Systems division is looking for an intern to join the Planning Team at the Mount Holly Springs Facility. The ideal candidate would be enrolled in Supply Chain or Management Information Systems degree with related course work to material planning, warehouse management, and information systems. The Intern will have the opportunity to experience working cross functionally with Operations, Purchasing, and Quality.

Job Duties:

• Weekly preparation of revenue data to support Focus Factory reporting
• Analysis exception message changes from component suppliers and recommend best course of action to production and planned orders.
• Review kitting internal/external material constraints and make tactical system adjustments to best meet customer requests
• Approve issuance of material in excess to current production work orders based on evaluating MRP system for risk
• Review scheduled production orders on MS Teams shortage sheet and allocate material to jobs
• Develop solutions for capacity constraints measuring and monitoring
• Drive actions and improve subcontracting purchase orders to outside vendors and other tasks relating to tracking confirmation and expediting when necessary
• Participate in weekly planning team meetings
• Support the Planning Department with various tasks in standardizing processes and work instruction

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Pursuing a full-time bachelor's degree in supply chain, Management Information Systems, or related Engineering with a focus in Supply Chain.
• * Ability to work from the Mount Holly Springs, PA office a minimum of 15-20 hours per week (position is not remote).
• US Person is required due to exposure to components and documentation regulated by ITAR
• Experience leading process improvement projects
• Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel desired).
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
• Ability to work in a team setting and in a cross-functional environment.
