A Trauma Registrar I is responsible for the collection, entry, and maintenance of data for the Trauma Center as required by the American College of Surgeons, and the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services. The registrar will code each injury related admission utilizing the ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and the Abbreviated Injury Scaling systems. This data, along with other state and nationally required data elements will be entered into the computerized trauma registry, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
