Job Summary: The HR Systems & Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our HR systems, policies, procedures, and practices are maintained in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the areas of systems administration and compliance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):



  • Compliance:


    • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments of HR practices to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.



  • Develop and manage compliance project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and communication plans
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with changes to relevant laws and regulations, and ensure that HR systems, policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and investigations related to HR compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that HR compliance initiatives are integrated into the organization's overall strategy.


  • Training:


    • Provide training on HR systems and assist with troubleshooting issues.



  • Work with other internal stakeholders to develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees understand and comply with applicable laws and regulations.


  • Systems:


    • Oversee and support the implementation of compliance related needs in the HRIS and company processes globally
    • Test, evaluate, and plan for the implementation of compliance related functionality changes in the HRIS across all areas of HR (time keeping, payroll, benefits, recruitment, data privacy etc.)
    • Periodically audit the accuracy, completeness, and security of employee data and processes within the HRIS using reporting and audit logs
    • Identify opportunities to improve the tracking and controls environment in the HRIS, including automation, integration, and data entry processes.
    • Work with other departments to integrate HRIS with other business systems
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR systems and recommend improvements.



  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What You'll Need (Qualifications):



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, IT, or a related field.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal or HR compliance or a related field (or relevant advanced degree).
  • Experience with HR systems and technologies (e.g. HRIS, applicant tracking systems, performance management systems, etc.)


  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to HR, including but not limited to Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.


Professional certification in HR compliance (e.g. SPHR, SHRM-SCP, etc.) is a plus.
