Job Description

McWane Poles:

We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about working in an industrial setting, are self-motivated, and have a strong desire to troubleshoot and maintain critical production equipment. Applicants interested are expected to know the principles, values and behaviors of the McWane Compass.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical production equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform corrective repairs.
  • Operate and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and maintain records.
  • Support production needs by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems (up to 480V)
  • Familiar with PLCs and troubleshooting control systems
  • Proficient in mechanical systems, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in hot, cold, and noisy environments
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) required
