Overview
We are seeking an intermediate to senior Executive Assistant to support the Navy in Washington DC at the Navy Yard. Position is onsite. The candidate will be supporting Program Executive Officer (PEO) Ships. Will provide direct executive-level support to Navy Rear Admiral and customers.
What will you do?
- Manage the calendar/schedule for PEO SHIPS Front Office Executive Staff.
- Manage, track, and maintain official correspondence.
- Prepare correspondence and interoffice communications for daily distribution.
- Participate in Flag level meetings.
- Develop Flag level briefs.
- Serve as point of contact for all Defense Travel System (DTS), foreign travel, and passport transactions.
- Generate detailed travel and meeting itineraries.
- Maintain Travel Books.
- Maintain the organization chart, phone roster, emergency contacts list, and muster listing.
- Plan and coordinate meetings, events, and ceremonies as required.
- Coordinate meetings with Senior Officials and Industry offices.
- Print weekly reports from contractors in preparation for meetings.
- Strategically schedule and perform calendar management with respect to priorities, goals, and objectives.
- Provide preparation for meetings and ensure read ahead material is received/distributed in advance.
- Monitor inbox and draft email correspondence as required.

Required skills:
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one
- 5-10 years Administrative experience
- Bachelor 's Degree or equivelant years of experience
- MS Office Suite experience

Preferred Skills:
- Navy executive admin experience
- SharePoint experience
Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
