Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Research Technician investigating RNA biology and mechanisms of gene regulation. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory research, collaborating with and providing support for other lab members on their research projects, and contributing to the organization of the lab. Working under the supervision of the principal investigator and other lab members, the individual will have an opportunity to build a portfolio of research accomplishments in preparation for acquiring a higher degree in biomedical research or medicine. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: This is an entry level trainee position with no experience necessary and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science Degree in the life sciences or physical sciences. Experience in conducting original laboratory research in biochemistry and/or molecular biology. Strong oral and written communication skills. Basic computer literacy. A minimum commitment of two years is required. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $46,428.00 - $54,908.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
