The Opportunity The Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives within the Department of Student Success Operations holds a crucial leadership role, overseeing a compact team tasked with driving innovative, entrepreneurial, and experimental efforts within the department. The team serves as the engine of creative thinking, identifying and piloting strategic initiatives aimed at modernizing operations and enhancing the student experience. This role involves collaboration with colleagues and peers to seamlessly integrate emerging best practices into our current operational procedures. This position entails supervisory responsibilities, providing guidance to teams managing Dual Enrollment, Career Skill Bridge, and F-1 sites. Additionally, the Senior Director will have the authority to establish and disband specialized teams, known as "tiger teams," focusing on key strategic areas of the university. These areas may encompass processes like admit-to-new matriculation, student registration drops, program retention, and more. The scope of influence extends to special partnerships, including the United States Navy Community College contract, which will also fall within the purview of this role. At its core, this role is dedicated to fostering excellence in student services, consistently promoting academic quality within our teaching and learning ecosystem. The Senior Director actively engages as a collaborative team member, contributing to the collective team spirit that defines our environment. This position is eligible for remote work.
