Overview
The Multi Family Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager(s) and Project Manager(s), ultimately working toward advancing to a Project Manager role. This role will communicate with engineers and architects to review plans, submittals, and scopes of work. Contact trades to help the CM/PM send out or follow up with bids for review. Learn and perform the process of proposing a project to management by determining material and labor quantities and costs for and with the CM/PM. The PM/CM oversee a wide array of scopes of work including but not limited to: rough carpentry, structural hardware, pre-manufactured trusses and panels, siding and roofing, interior trim and finishes. The Assistant Project Manager will be a branch of the CM and PM to help with project efficiency and time management while expanding their construction knowledge. Responsibilities -Help CM/PM determine and define proper scope and objectives, manage subcontractors, and maintain construction schedules -Order materials as directed by CM/PM, provide project updates on a consistent bases with Director -Assist in maintaining Procore accounts -Communicate to keep all necessary parties involved in project status and updates (Manager, AM & DVP) -Must be willing to travel 1-2 days a week locally and be comfortable on active construction sites Qualifications Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently Some experience using Procore or other construction management software helpful 84 Lumber Company is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
