In the role of Senior Water Resources Engineering Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Be a project management and water resources technical leader within our company and for our clients.
  • Contribute to a team atmosphere and help foster the overall growth and success of our thriving water resources practice and staff.
  • Perform project- and task-level management; lead, direct, and mentor technical staff; interface with a broad range of science and engineering disciplines; and perform hands-on project engineering for wide variety of water resource projects.
  • Manage engineering work in the following key technical areas

    • Hydrologic modeling (HEC-HMS, WWHM, MGS Flood, SBUH, USGS regional regression equations)
    • 1D and 2D open-channel hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS and SRH2D)
    • Closed-conduit hydraulic modeling (SWMM and HydroCAD)
    • Stormwater facilities for infiltration, water quality treatment, and flow control
    • Stream habitat improvements including complex channel forms, large woody debris, and bioengineered banks.
    • Road and stream crossing design for fish passage including erosion and scour assessment, repair, and protection in urban settings.
    • Watershed and stormwater planning to support development of conceptual projects.
    • Identification and application of federal, state, and local regulations that govern water resources project work.


  • Lead and participate in the preparation of construction plans, technical special provisions, and opinions of probable construction costs.
  • Lead and participate in the preparation of technical and non-technical reports and presentations including visualization of data.
  • Assist with business development activities including client relations, marketing pursuits, project proposals, and project interviews.
  • Prepare scope, schedule, and fee for project work.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Professional Engineering license (PE) in Oregon and/or Washington state
  • PMP certification

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
