The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) is responsible for delivering consistent revenue and share growth at assigned global accounts. This role involves developing and maintaining a Strategic Account Management Plan (SAMP), driving specifications on new designs, and maximizing new business opportunities. Drives executive-level alignment within the different divisions and between RRX and key customers.
Executive Sales Leadership
- Will recruit SAMs to cover key accounts, and will manage these teams (Manage directly if they have a team, indirectly if Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) are elsewhere in the organization)
- Coordinate Area Account Managers (AAMs) as needed (across multiple divisions)
- Executive alignment inside of Regal Rexnord (RRX) leadership to get things done
- Drive executive alignment between customer's and RRX leadership up to CEO
- Drive multi-layer alignment between customer and RRX leadership (product development, ops, etc.)
Revenue Growth and Account Management:
- 360 accountability at defined key accounts
- Serve as the primary owner of the global sales strategy and tactical deployment at assigned key accounts
- Deliver consistent revenue and share growth at assigned key accounts
- Develop and maintain a SAMP for each account
- Drive specification on new designs and share gain on existing designs at assigned key accounts
- Inform Product Line Management on products that would yield significant growth at the accounts
Customer Relationship Management:
- Understand customer's global strategic initiatives and align selling approach to meet their needs
- Develop detailed player maps and advise of organizational dynamics that assist team members in targeting sales efforts.
- Prompt customer stakeholder groups to explore ideas and concerns while serving as the educated facilitator
- Work effectively in a team-selling environment and communicate account strategies to local/field sales levels
Sales Execution:
- Execute disciplined selling processes to attain quota
- Communicate, implement, and monitor all account initiatives and programs to ensure alignment
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities
- Drive collaboration and teamwork to achieve objectives
- Identify product gaps to promote new product development ideas, influence priorities
- Involved in identifying and cultivating acquisition targets
Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor market trends that impact customer portfolios
- Drive account and communication status updates
- Manage customer scorecards for portfolio of customers
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Influence product development and future scalability
- Understand the customer technical roadmap and bring VOC back into the organization
- Manage book of business with appropriate order management
People Development:
- Develop and maintain a mentor and coach relationship with SAM(s)
Professional Experience & Qualifications Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering
- 10+ years of commercial/technical sales and/or marketing experience preferred
- Willingness to travel 50%, including international travel
