Job Description:

S&OP/SC Excellence Director

Huntsman is seeking a S&OP/SC Excellence Director supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Performance Products Supply Chain Excellence Leadership.

Job Scope:

S&OP/SC Excellence Director leads and drives the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales, manufacturing, and operations strategies. They would be responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class S&OP practices, improving supply chain efficiency, and managing key performance metrics. This role would also involve leading cross-functional teams, mentoring employees, and communicating with senior management.

In summary, as the S&OP/SC Excellence Director, you will:

Leading and Driving the S&OP Process:

  • This includes establishing and maintaining a structured S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales, operations, and finance, and leading the monthly S&OP meetings.

Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Focusing on improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness of the supply chain, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.

Analytics and Key Performance Metric Management:

  • Identifying, tracking, and reporting on key metrics related to S&OP and supply chain performance, such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, forecst accuracy, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery.
  • Gap analysis between plans and outcomes; scenario modeling with risk mitigation strategies

Process Improvement:

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance inventory management.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of S&OP and supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing work environment.
  • Lead change management

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders, including sales, manufacturing, operations, finance, and senior management.

Risk Management:

  • Identifying and assessing supply chain risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contributing to the development of strategic plans for S&OP and supply chain, considering long-term business goals and industry trends.

Digitization and Analytics

  • Identifying opportunities to deploy digital tools to aid efficiency and use of analytics to drive performance improvement ensuring tool adoption compliance.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-site manufacturing with a global footprint
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
  • A higher degree, such as an MBA, can also be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in ERP Systems and Data Analytics Tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) is often required.

Skills and knowledge

Deep Understanding of S&OP and Supply Chain Management:

  • Proven experience in all aspects of S&OP, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to complex problems.

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, build strong relationships, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate challenges, and develop solutions to complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

While not always required, experience in the chemicals industry can be beneficial, particularly in understanding the specific challenges and opportunities of the industry.
