ABOUT THE JOB:

This position will work within the Field Accounting Team preparing and analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX and internal policies.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounting, documenting business transactions and completing corresponding reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial information, detailing activity pertaining to spare parts inventory and purchase order liabilities. Perform job costing and/or project costing functions.
  • Prepare and complete month end close processing ensuring all deadlines are met in accordance with the established closing dates.
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports; work close with Staff Accountant, Inventory, on errors and trends.
  • Communicate and coordinate with both internal and external auditors and satisfy requests for information in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum five years of public accounting; experience in fixed asset/inventory, cost accounting, reconciliations and variance analysis


Required Skills and Abilities:



  • Required Skills and Abilities: Briefly outline the specific skills and abilities necessary to perform the job.
  • SAP, Oracle FCCS and Blackline experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills including experience with pivot tables, vlookups and if statements
  • Strong foundation of accounting principles and practices including financial and data analysis and financial report preparation
  • Ability to understand strategy and concept and translate to actionable steps or deliverables in an analytical manner
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize work with high degree of attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal, in a professional manner with all levels of internal and external customers


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to walk, sit, stand, kneel and carry up to 10 pounds.


Work Environment:



  • Corporate office; this is an in house role. Ability to travel up to 10% if required.
