Job Description Summary

The Fan Experience Fellow is a full-time, 10-month position. The position will support an inclusive culture while focusing on building strong, positive relationships and an organizational structure that will support Athletics' strategic goals and initiatives, including providing the best fan experience in North Carolina and providing value to the University, Winston-Salem, and Triad communities.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Fan Experience & Sales staff with the development and execution of marketing and sales plans for all 18 athletic programs.
  • Develop and execute traditional and grassroots marketing and sales plans for various sports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing plans and concepts which will drive engagement and membership in the Screamin' Demon Student Rewards program.
  • Coordinate with the Fan Experience & Sales staff and local community organizations on the planning and preparation for special city-wide and university events.
  • Create select graphic and video assets for use in promoting athletic programs and special events.
  • Assist with internet and social media advertising planning as well as email marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in compliance with department, University, ACC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing or related field.

Experience: One Year of experience in fan experience, marketing, communications, public relations, live events or related field.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Willing to work in a team atmosphere where expectations are set and managed while giving staff flexibility to do their assigned task as both a leader and/or a follower.
  • Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace.
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Highly organized and ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong initiative to solve problems.
  • Extraordinary focus on customer service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
