We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer with deep experience in writing serious code and well versed in release methodologies to join our dynamic team.

This role requires a highly skilled software engineer who can effectively manage and execute a broad range of responsibilities across release operations, process optimization, automation, and project execution.

Our vision and even our tactical automation plans are based on driving operation autonomous and self-healing. So we are working hard to reduce the human-centric operations to machine-centric. The role of the human will be on monitoring and troubleshooting. You will be actively participating with automating the release operation by writing code on platforms such as Slack bot.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to represent Release Engineering in cross-functional discussions and independently lead and drive release-related initiatives to completion. Strong coding skills, reliability, and a proactive mindset are essential.

Release engineers are the cornerstone of the technology teams with tremendous responsibility and high visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build/configuration/administration of a highly complex core application and multiple products with new products coming online all the time.
  • Writing code with deep understanding of SDLC and develop scripts to solve automation issues, using minimum of Java and/or GO or equivalent (such as C++ etc.).
  • Drive timely and reliable delivery of high-quality enterprise software releases, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
  • DevOps support to hundreds of extremely talented developers, quality engineers, systems engineers, and project/product managers on the Salesforce development infrastructure, processes, and application.
  • Gateway for releases into multiple, geographically-dispersed production data centers , 1P and managed services infrastructure as other type of substrate (e.g. AWS).
  • Management and expansion of the existing infrastructure that supports our ability to turn concepts into code and deliver quality to our customers.
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years Build/Release experience; of Java-based, on-demand applications.
  • 5+ years experience writing code in Java, developing scripts to solve automation issues, and working on Unix platforms.
  • 3+ years experience with a scripting language (Perl, Python, Java or GO) required.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, DevOps Methodologies and Release Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Perforce, SVN, Clearcase, CVS, or GIT.
  • Demonstrated ability to support Development Operations: dev, test environments, mission-critical internal tools administration in a Help Desk, and zero downtime framework.
  • Strong command of code branching architecture.
  • Experience supporting an on-demand environment is highly valued.
  • Experience with orchestration and remote execution: Saltstack, Ansible, Fabric or similar.
  • Proven track record of implementing build/release systems around new products
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A related technical degree required.

Desired Skills:

  • RHCSA, RHCE strongly preferred.
