Job Description

Overview of the Position:

Play a critical role in driving business growth and revenue expansion for DLA and associated government outsourcing initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for executing business development strategies, managing day to day bidding relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute business development plans to drive growth and revenue. expansion within our current portfolio of business by expanding the bidding of day-to-day solicitations to DLA, and Military customers.
  • Manage a portfolio of Government accounts, including working with the BD team to capture new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for assigned accounts as required.
  • Handle Federal Contract Information (FCI) as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Strong database, spreadsheet, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft Office suite office products.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and revenue expansion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business field and 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, value added services of military and aerospace hardware, machined parts; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Aerospace/Defense Industry experience required.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
