Job Description

Overview of the Position:

Provide all necessary maintenance services for equipment and facilities to support production personnel in achieving management's objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Manage building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general construction--to keep facilities operating smoothly.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns promptly, escalating to specialized external vendors for complex repairs beyond inhouse capabilities.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, installation, relocation, and commissioning of new or refurbished equipment, operating necessary tools and machinery safely.
  • Maintain organized and accessible equipment manuals, maintenance logs, and repair histories, and submit accurate material requisitions to Purchasing.
  • Support Shop needs with the component teardown and builds as requested by the production manager.


  • Execute other duties as assigned.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Must speak, read and write the English language.
  • Should have basic computer software and keyboarding skills.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Ability to lift heavy machine parts.
  • Ability to climb ladders at various heights.
  • Ability to operate various personnel lifts.

Requirements

Education / Experience Requirements: Must have H. S. Diploma or GED. Prefer trade school graduate or equivalent experience.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Works in moderate noise levels.
