We are looking for a Hardware Maintenance Manager to join our US Product Development team. Our team is responsible for developing next generation 5G network radios for our global customer base.

Candidate will be assigned as HW maintenance manager for radio hardware product development and will be required to manage the hardware aspects of the related projects in including schedule, design activities, manufacturing, and start-up/integration activities. Key responsibilities will be participating in design and technical reviews, technical status reporting, and design management. Candidate will have to work in close cooperation with other development, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure high quality product development. Candidate will have to manage the backlogs of customer and internal faults reported for products under maintenance and have to ensure smooth transition from product development to maintenance phase. Act as interface towards sourcing, R&D, customer maintenance, product management and various other stakeholders.

As part of our team, you will:



  • Lead and manage HW projects that may span across multiple disciplines/teams.
  • Plan and organize HW project development schedules, build schedules, material costs, and delivery of HW to multiple teams.
  • Problem solves on a daily basis and set priorities across teams.
  • Provide regular status updates to overall program manager highlighting any potential risk areas so preventative actions can be taken.
  • Responsible to provide rapid responses and cost-efficient resolutions for customer reported HW/SW faults
  • Is accountable to initiate RCA/EDA processes
  • Fault investigation coordination in co-operation with R&D and Nokia area organization
  • Communicate HW/SW issues and corrective actions to Nokia area organization and customers
  • Negotiates cost efficient solutions with the customers support teams
  • Is accountable to retrofit decisions together with RAN BU
  • Creates cost estimations for retrofits and follow up of costs
  • Initializes claim process towards vendors when feasible
  • Is responsible of escalation management, manage task forces, and takes care of reporting to MN management
  • Provide customer feedback to R&D, Production and Product Management

You have:



  • BSEE or MS in Electrical Engineering with coursework in RF or Microwave technology
  • Must have prior experience of RF hardware development
  • Previous project/program management experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in RF Circuit Design and Signal processing techniques
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of RF Engineering and general principles
  • Proven record with previous involvement in successful product development programs
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Well organized and able to plan and track progress.
  • Insightful Problem Solver



It would be nice if you also had:



  • General engineering knowledge of Analog, digital, power, and mechanical design
  • Experience with manufacturing assembly process and quality standards.
  • Experience with RF testing including testing against 3GPP and FCC telecom standards.
