Job Description SummaryThe Whole Foods Market Accounting Team is looking for people who also want to bring their expertise and passion for partnership and organization to support Whole Food's strategic vision. As a project leader, you will be instrumental in defining and managing value propositions while developing comprehensive work plans that align with our objectives. You'll oversee resource allocation, including capital, staffing, and tools, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your role will encompass end-to-end project management, from initial planning and direction to implementation and post-delivery assessment. Working closely with stakeholders, you'll ensure project scope and execution meet both client expectations and business requirements while maintaining harmony across multiple concurrent projects.
Responsibilities:
    Directs and manages large-scale, projects from end-to-end.
    • Uses business needs and past project experience to create full-scale plans for projects, encompassing:
      • Project charter,
      • Defined project scope,
      • Deliverables,
      • Dependencies,
      • Schedules,
      • Resources allocation,
      • Support plans.
    • Collaborates with project sponsors to communicate expectations to Team Members and stakeholders.
    • Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to project success.
    • Negotiates with Team Leaders and other WFM teams to acquire necessary personnel recourses.
    • Tracks high-level deliverables across projects.
    • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential issues, and devises contingency plans.
    • Ensures achievement of budget goals.
    • Ensures regular and ongoing vendor and business partner communication.
    • Escalates significant, complex, business critical, or sensitive issues for information and resolution as appropriate.
    • Closes projects by gathering feedback, documenting lessons learned, and identifying best practices.

    Skills:

    • Advanced understanding of WFM's project management methodologies and requirements.
    • Advanced ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
    • Able to oversee or advise on project management issues and assist with overcoming barriers.
    • Ability to keep multiple projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
    • Proficient with project management software, such as

    • Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion.
    • Collaborates with others to achieve objectives and ensure information flow.
    • Effectively presents information and responds to questions, in both one-on-one situations and group meetings.
    • Participates in cross-functional projects and provides senior-level support to team.

    • Impacts overall team effectiveness.
    • May provide informal support to less experienced Team Members.
    • Builds and nurtures relationships with senior-level stakeholders and leaders.
    • Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations.
    • Presents problem analyses and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
    • Handles a diverse range of issues requiring evaluation of a variety of factors, including business trends.
    • Analyzes complex and ambiguous problems.
    • Identifies opportunities for process / procedural enhancements to drive efficiency and improve service levels.
    • Understands trends and emerging challenges of the customer base, market, and industry.
    • Applies business and project understanding to focus project / team's efforts.
    • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.

    Education & Experience:

    • BA/BS degree and 4-6 years' relevant experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience.
    The wage range for this position is $100,244.00-$170,415.00 Annual, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
