Summary
The Customs Supervisor will oversee and manage the customs operations of the company, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, laws, and procedures. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of customs specialists, ensuring that all customs entries are processed accurately and timely, and providing exceptional customer service to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee the customs operations of the company, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and procedures
* Lead and manage a team of customs specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
* Process customs entries and clearances for import and export shipments
* Monitor and manage the timely processing of customs entries to avoid any delays or penalties
* Develop and maintain relationships with customs officials, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance processes
* Ensure all customs-related documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulations
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any customs-related concerns or questions they may have
* Conduct regular audits of customs operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary
* Stay up-to-date with changes to customs regulations, laws, and procedures and ensure that the team is informed and trained accordingly

Educational background / Work experience
* Bachelor's degree in a related field such as logistics, supply chain management, or international business
* Additional certification in customs or logistics is a plus
* At least 5 years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
* Knowledge of customs regulations, laws, and procedures
* Experience working with customs officials, brokers, and other stakeholders
* Strong understanding of import and export processes and documentation requirements

Preferred Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures in the region where the company operates
* Experience working with the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system
* Familiarity with trade agreements such as NAFTA, CAFTA, and TPP
* Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global environment

Language skills
* Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience with customs-related software and systems such as ACE and CustomsLink is a plus.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $68,500 - $103,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
