Job Overview
Provides oversight and management of admissions office operations, or transition services office operations, or both. Pay: $65,000/year Hours worked: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm Retirement Plan: Eligible to participate in company 401(k) with Company matching after 1 year Vacation: Minimum of ten days per year. Actual days are based upon your Service Date Sick Time: Ten days per year Holidays: 12 paid holidays per year Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Oversee and review subordinate's work to ensure accuracy and compliance with government regulations, i.e. Admissions counselor's applications; career transition specialist job development files; career transition coordinator placement documents; administrative assistant monthly report and placement of ads; outreach schedule and purchasing of office/kitchen supplies and all staff outreach/trip reports.
- Write and implement outreach, advertising and career transition services development plans.
- Correspond with appropriate Center staff and Job Corps Regional Office regarding OA/CTS activities.
- Participate in the Center's outreach team.
- Oversee budget, labor/overtime and OA/CTS staff training.
- Supervise systems which support accurate and timely reporting of OA/CTS statistical performance.
- Review government regulations and contract to ensure compliance and interpret regulations for subordinates as needed.
- Provide oversight of the OA/CTS function to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all former enrollee and graduate placements and other documentation in compliance with Data Integrity policies and procedures. Periodically audit CTS and OA files to ensure adherence to corporate and DOL policies and procedures, compliance with data integrity policies and procedures, and file quality.
- Ensure office environment encourages teamwork and counsel employees as appropriate.
- Represent the Job Corps program through active community involvement.
- Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.
- Review, report and process accident/injury reports for staff and student job related injuries. Identify unsafe practices and develop corrective measures to minimize risk and lost time accidents in accordance with corporate, government and Job Corps regulations.
- Cultivate and maintain a climate on Center, which is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
- Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skill acquisition and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed.
- Perform all other duties as requested.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's Degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; and 2 years' related supervisory experience or
- Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and 4 years' related supervisory experience.
- Successfully pass a background check and drug test.
- Valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record.
