Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Installation Technician to assist with fixed wing and rotorcraft related activities during STC, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance related activities. You'll have an onsite work schedule at our business unit, Genesys Aerosystems, located in Mineral Wells, TX. Genesys Aerosystems delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

Day- to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist with customer aircraft brought to the Company for onsite assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft discrepancies with advanced avionics systems.
  • Perform avionics installations.
  • Must be able to accurately and thoroughly interpret design drawings of mechanical and electrical parts, and component installations.
  • Comply with AC 145 Repair Station Rules and Regulations.
  • Take responsibility for the induction, inspection, maintenance, and documentation of customer aircraft.
  • Order and monitor progress of deliverables in support of repair or installation of components, brackets, or units.
  • Receives and inspects mechanical and electrical parts to be used in certification projects.
  • Inspects Autopilot and EFIS component installations in certification project aircraft for conformance to the design data.

Here's what you'll bring with you...

  • Associates degree (AA) related to general avionics or A & P license. May consider combination of education/experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years avionics experience on general aviation and helicopter aircraft; Inspection authority and/or pilot's license is a plus.
  • Must possess and demonstrate a high level of technical avionics interface knowledge, digital and analog interfaces, various component compatibilities and regulations with respect to certifying fixed wing and rotorcraft safe for flight.
  • Working knowledge of all tools and equipment normally used by aircraft installation technicians, including hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Ability to produce a quality of work that will meet the standards for general aviation aircraft.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
